My SHO has the JBL system in it with an AM/FM Tape but no CD. If I pick up a stock cd player is it plug and play to hook up? How about a stock CD changer?

It is plug and play as long as you have this harness for it.

Not sure about the CD changer. I think those only were in the 96 and up cars.

you can get an aftermarket mp3 cd player for so dang cheap, might as well do that, and buy the wiring harness for it.

My old 95 Taurus GL had a Ford CD changer in the trunk so I thought it was available on G2 Taurus.

I want to keep the stock sub so I think an aftermarket head unit won't work with it from what I read online.

I'm thinking that my SHO maybe must have come with a cd player as well originally since below the radio cassette there is an opening but no cup holders. Did the SHO's even have the SLO cup holders there or only the console cup holder?

You can use the factory sub with an aftermarket stereo but it requires buying a special harness that runs from the trunk to the deck that incorporates the factory amp with the new deck.

the lil cubby underneath the factory am/fm tape would be where the cd player will go if u can find a factory one and the wires (took me months) but as mine didnt come with the cd originally it was a hole with this weird felt like material on it, didnt have the door tho. (below that should be the box that holds 3 maybe 4 cassette tapes, then the ashtray) what is SLO cupholder? what does SLO even stand for haha.
