Ok I have a question, Ive heard the wiring for the subwoofer, or factory subwoofer is the black and black and white wires from the amp. Now if Im right and Im looking at the right wires, theyre kinda thicker than all the other wires and the amp is the smaller black one on the left side of the trunk? I was wondering cause I was gonna use it temporarily to hook a 12" sub up to until I can afford to get a half decent amp. I was wondering because I was gonna cut the wires and hook them up to the sub, but my problem is I can see the black/black and white wires that plug into the amp, just cant find them coming out of the amp and I was wondering if they still are the same color, and if my idea would work. Thanks a lot!

I don't think that it would work very well, if if any at all. That amp only pushes maybe 30 watts or something like that; not enough for a 12 inch sub, and the impediance I doubt is right either. I would just wait until you get an amp big enough to push the 12 inch sub!!

Btw--I see how you are from Wichita, I live in Great Bend about 2 hours away; or an hour and a half when I am driving my SHO!! :D I was just down there this past weekend visiting some friends and I have to say that I saw a ton of SHO's down there. Maybe next time I come down there we can meet up and chat for a while or something?! thumb

Ok, Heres the deal, the Black wire is the ground, the Yellow wire is the constant or Power (12+) and the Two blue wires coming in from the upper left corner of the trunk(where the yellow wire is attached) is the remote wire. That's everything you need to hook up a sub. I just did it, it took about 15 mins to splice the wires and run them to my amp and then the sub. THE PROBLEM IS that is alot of power going through the lines and as long as you keep it turned down, your fine. I had two 12"pioneers and a 1000 watt amp going, it lasted about 3 weeks and stopped working, I'm sure I blew the factory amp and had to hard wire it directly. However it may work for you with just one sub. Hope it works out!
Thanx,
Scott

My only question is what about the rca cables, or does the factory amp wiring kinda have that because thats the only thing that has stopped me from using the origional amp wires to hook a new amp up to it...
