You know, I'm not trying to be a dick or anything (far from it) but I had an experience similar to yours, and shared it with you when you were gonna buy this car... It read as follows:

But you know that now, right? I've never met someone who modded their car and drove it as nicely as someone who left it stock. Just my experience.

Hear me out first(you guys are right) I dont wanna say that I was ripped off, cause if you saw the car, just by looking at it you would see 1500 bucks...
765 clutch bill + water pump that is dying, and any hoses that need to be replaced will be = 1000 cash, good thing I know how to do a water pump, I just need to get a hold of 'good old uncle dave' who happens to run/have his own shop. Back to the subject at hand, i also need new tires, By my birthday(100% latest)(Feb 22) I will have paid for my car twice...obviously that is not unheard of, but I've put maybe 5K on her, and had it for maybe 4 months, if that.
Xerox is not laying me off this year it looks like(woohoo) so I dont have to be too tight with the cash, but after I get that waterpump done, thats it! Car is staying the way it is. The top side of the engine is good, first SHO I've had w/o oil in the plug wells. Spark plugs/wires are about 2 years old(previous owner did not drive in winter), SFBs are good, tranny/clutch damn sure better be good, ruff and tuff motor mounts with a custom 'wishbone' strut tower stabalizer(still gotta look at that, so I can tell you guys about it) My mechanic said I should get even more power to the ground with this new part. He put it in there to take a little stress of the motor mounts...hopefully it works
And as far as performance or aftermarket parts....quiafe would be the only thing I would do...I mean, I would really like to have a true N/A 300hp setup, but unless I inherit a stage IV kit, its not gonna happen.
I take some of that back, I would like on of Trojan Mans intake manifolds(BBB,Honed, gasket matched) His 90 that he has(N/A car) has the sickest N/A 3rd gear I have ever seen...I tried to tell him he got wheel one time shifting into 3rd at about 65 (down shift) he thought I was nuts...I heard it, I'm telling ya, anyway he makes his own parts and does his own work(damn good at it I might add) in that 90, when 4K comes around(tach) it REALLY opens up...nice deep leak free sound. Best I've ever heard.
But anyways, that would all I would do to the car.

Auto Sho, I remember...you were not the only one who told me not to buy that car. A good trusted SHO mechanic that I know(Justin/Fowwulf) told me I was gonna catch SHO 'vd'(venarial disease) and man do I have a nasty itch right on the bottom of the motor(recently scratched for 800 bucks) and now on the opposite side, another waterpump leaking scratch....
Bottom line is that I should have never bought this 92 and kept the goold ol 89...I miss her, I miss Gen I period. Ohh wel sleep ,
