Hello all: I had parts of my engine off the other day and found this...

According to Keystone Powder Coating's parts page - http://keystonepowdercoating.com/sho parts/93 used 3rd/condensor.jpg

This is a Coil Pack Module. Is that what this is, and if so what does it do, and does it just hang out in the engine bay? I want to put this back where it belongs.

Thanks,

That is an RFI supressor. It does bolt to one of the coil pack mounting bolts.

As the text in the URL to the image from Keystone says, it's a condensor. Not a "module" of any sort. If I were home I could look under my hood and tell you where that condensor is supposed to mount (with a small screw attaching that tab to something, maybe the coil pack).

The purpose is to cut radio static from the ignition system, so I'm thinking that it attaches to the coil pack. If you don't get a hint from another member before, I'll look under my hood tonight and let you know tomorrow.
