Here is my issue.
As some of you know my 93 ATX has been one prob after another. I've had to replace several suspension pieces and now have a cracked windshield (rearview came off in my hand, leaving a dime sized divot on the inside) plus both back windows stopped working (thankfully in the up postion).
One of my problems is a small oil leak on the back side of the engine. I was told by the guys who replaced my Y-Pipe and O2s (forgot to metion that) that the leak was right on my rear O2 sensor. He told me that the leak most likely made the last O2 go bad and then my cats clogged.

The issue now is the CE will come on sporatically. It doesn't seem to matter if I'm putting along or at WOT. I'm starting to feel a slight hiccup in the motor while I'm sitting at a light. The RPMs will slowly drop to about 550 or 600 and then I hear what sounds like the AC (maybe the fans) kick on and the RPMs settle back up to about 750 or 800. Also the power seems to be down but it's hard to tell. Every time I try to pull codes I just get the 111. This is getting to be very frustrating.

Would it be better to pull codes when the car is at temp or cold? Does the CE have to come on right before you pull the codes in order to get anything (does make sense to me either, but we do own Fords)?

Sorry about the length and misspells. I would appreciate any help.

Oh, I still am driving around with my Alt whining like a damn jet engine. It would be cool if it sounded like a turbo, but it sounds like an Alt going bad. I'm still trying to get the guy to replace it.

Anytime is the best time, but when the engine has been warmed to operating temperature will eliminate the low coolant temperature hard fault code when running the KOEO test and ensure that the KOER test will be within limits.
