IS PTU FLUID THE SAME AS TRANNY FLUID??

I would replace the PTU and RDU fluid with Redline Lightweight Shock Proof fluid.

im ordering the fluids now... so im getting "Red Line Lightweight Shockproof Gear Oil (SAE 75W140) - 1 Quart" for the PTU .... what viscosity do i get for the RDU ?

the FORD manual says "80W-90" for the RDU thats why i was confused.... i thought the lightweight 75w90 was for the RDU??

Ford also says that the PTU fluid is lifetime.

Use the Redline Lightweight Shockproof in both the PTU and RDU.

i hope the capacity amounts are correct lol Do u think i should be able to get the RDU and PTU fluid change done with 2 quartz?

18oz for the ptu
about 1.5 quarts for rdu
so it's just almost right there. maybe have a little extra just in case. Can always use it on the next one
