Yep, Tim Pavlik still has an old plus that he wanted to bring last year but it needed to much work and hey, who wouldn't want to run that sweet GXP around Waterford Hills.
And Now, Ya know what grinds my gears????
I've kept my mouth shut for this whole thread, until now muhahaha.
I've seen trolling mistaken for being a troll, I've seen James being taken to seriously, and misunderstood, I've seen BigJim's shortness taken, well taken like he meant it.
IMHO New members need to realize alot of the older members here type the same way we've talked to each other for years in person, drunk in parking lots, throughout these great United States.
Old Members need to realize alot of the gen IV people couldn't care less about the early gens and don't want to waste time with it. I have no problem with people being clicky until we're at convetion or meets. They wouldn't even consider letting Kirk use a sharpie to write SHO on their *******.
I hope people don't cancel convention plans over this but hey if that's what happens, it happens, their loss.

Jim you've proven time and time again your brand loyalty and smugness. You have shown your true colors in the past and your hate for anyone who does not see the world exactly as you do. So tell me, has GM found a fix for the wheel clicking yet?

Nope. But wheels clicking don't concern me since I believe that is a wheel torquing issue. The only time I ever got clicking was when I tightened and torqued down the wheels while on the ground.

As for brand loyalty, you've only known me on the V forums. Yes, my last 2 cars were CTS-Vs. And they are awesome vehicles. But I never thought of buying a Cadillac before '04. Ever. I traded in an '01 Accord coupe for my '04. I also sold my '92 SHO to fund that car. For my business, I own an '07 Town Car L. Not a DTS.

BTW, the reason I bought the V? It was the equivalent of the M5 I had wanted since I was 12 for a fraction of the cost. If you want brand loyalty, until the last few years it was always BMW.

So stop pretending like you know me and I'll stop pretending like I care to know you...

You know I asked a simple question as to why you didn't like an automatic, expecting a reasonable response, thinking perhaps that you would explain why you preferred the manual trans. Sorry for asking a reasonable question, and no I don't expect a response because frankly, I really don't care anymore this has turned out to be a pretty hostile spot from guys that I thought had a considerable amount of knowledge about the earlier gen SHO's but as of now I really could care less, I'll stay here with the guys that have been very friendly and helpful. And now, although I was considering it, I will not be making any attempt to make any SHO convention, thanks to the attitude put forth in this thread.

You're right. I've made clear in the past my boredom with automatic transmissions but should've taken the time to explain it instead of just making the statement. So instead of automatics sucking, they bore me.

I'm not pretending like I know you. I know your online personality plenty well. Just like you've jumped on me every time I've expressed my hatred for the CTSV (which is NO where near equivalent to an M5, please edit your post for accuracy), and like you continue to jump on me at every given opportunity because we disagree that the CTSV is the worlds greatest car. Just because you own other cars doesnt mean you arent loyal/biased to one brand either.

Great to hear they havent fixed the wheel clicking either. Have they fixed the sunroof rattle yet?

Maybe. I don't have that, either.

And how is the M5 better? You complain about the V yet there are far more satisfied owners than dissatisfied. Same for here. But your ignoring that the SHO has had its own fatal flaws shows your integrity. And last I checked, none of the V's issues are as dangerous as the SHO's sudden lack of power in crucial situations.

I dont need to go into how the M5 is better. That speaks for itself. BMW has been making quality vehicles far longer than Cadillac has. The V is Cadillacs first car to compete with the real 4 door luxury sedans.

I am not denying the SHO has problems either. The difference between the SHOs problems and the V's problems is that Ford acknowledges them and fixes them. Cadillac/GM doesn't. Point in case, wheel clicking, sunroof rattling. They still, to this date, do NOT know HOW to fix these things. Great job GM.

As for the sudden lack of power, I've read about this. Its a problem, sure, I havent experienced it, but from what I've read its mostly people complaining about the time it takes to downshift due to them flooring the pedal. If its a real problem there is no doubt in my mind that Ford will be fixing it.

What? Not having your opinion? Again, your god complex is unflattering.

God complex? What the **** are you talking about? Its not about not having my opinion, its about your opinion making no sense. If you think the V is better, (think, not fact), then say why. Just because bigjim said so doesn't make it the truth.

I love how you said just because I say something is so it's not. Yet, you continue to try to do the same thing. Yes, the V has only been around for 2 generations. Pretty amazing how far they've come. One thing that can't be ignored: The performance numbers are better. And that's why I bought the car...

Please elaborate on how I turn my opinion into fact.

Sure, if you are reading a magazine the v is the winner hands down. If you are living in the real world where other things matter then the v is not the winner.

Check this out... this is my first and last post on this site.

Too many people who apparently judge their own self-worth by what cars others drive. I thought this thread was a joke at first.

As Groucho Marx said: "I don’t care to belong to any club that will have me as a member".

The funny thing is, I will get flamed for this post for not wanting to be a member.
