If you bothered to read his post he said that he feels non eb owners are trolling the section too much. Not posting too much. Theres no reason for anyone not to be able to post here, just no need to troll every thread.

so you are saying there is an issue with us looking trough your threads to learn?if that is the case than i think you guys should talk to a mod about getting your threads locked from us non eb owners. im not here trying to start shit with any of you guys im just posting my questions/opinions that is all. it just seems that some people are making it seem like we are not welcome in here cause we have no usefull info to help you guys. **** i wish i had half the knolage some of you guys have in any of the gens. so i guess we will agree to disagree.

so we'll start fresh im Paul i hope to meet you guys in the future and learn more about your vehicals and mods.

Seriously? I think you are here to just start shit with us.

Are you reading the posts I am writing or just imagining what you think I am saying?

No one minds you read here, post here, whatever. We dont want you guys trolling all over our threads. Trolling includes posting irrelevant information, flaming, hating on us, or whatever else you could imagine would be derogatory to the gen 4 owners.

Please read this post at least 8 times before you respond, hopefully that will make you understand it.

Wow, isn't this a wild little discussion. :munch:

Bad, James, bad for stirring up so much stuff. :nut:

As Tim said, I'm one of those old SHO guys that's been in the SHO community for almost as long as some of the young folks around SHOforum have been alive. I bought my first SHO new in 1989 and my most recent one in 2010. My daily driver is a '93 ATX that I also bought new.

New SHOs have always been relatively expensive compared to the average sedan sold in the U.S., so each generation required a purchaser with a good bank account or good credit. There was/is just no getting around it. Folks that can afford one and those that can't don't owe anyone an apology and shouldn't be made to feel bad no matter which end of the spectrum they are on. For me it's really easy to respect both the person who can buy a $40K+ car and still can afford to add all kinds of mods right off the bat as well as the person that has to use every bit of their wits and available cash to keep a 20 year old SHO performing like a champ. Both are pretty cool if you ask me.

With the addition of each generation there has always been some growing pains in the community, but in the end SHO folks stick together. Like someone said - we are not normal. :naughty:

There is 20+ years of information available on the V6 SHO and about 15 years on the Gen3 V8. Each had their time when they were the new kids on the block and their new owners were absorbing any and all new info that they could get their hands on and their head around. The same thing is happening now with the Ecoboost SHOs, so the "old" guys on the forum shouldn't be surprised - they were probably there at one point if they bought their car new. If they got into the game later then a lot of the questions had been answered and the forum supplies more of a social outlet for them.

Even though I own both types of cars, I generally read more on here about the new car because I'm still learning about its potential (good and bad). While I'm not mechanically inclined, like many of the V6 owners, there isn't too many things I haven't read about it over the years. I've never owned a Gen 3 but I still have some passing interest in them because of the friends that do own them.

I always look forward to seeing SHOs of all generations at the conventions, but I especially look forward to getting to know and sharing stories with their owners. That's what has kept me coming back to them since 1994. I think the same will be said of a lot of new Gen 4 owners if they come meet the other Gen owners.

I did a long time ago and had it moved to Gen 4 section.:thankyou:

As you will note, I had quite a few earlier SHO's. Probably would have kept buying if the V-8 hadn't had such a bad rap. Loved the V-6 but didn't like replacing clutches, struts, and brakes.

Post here because of the EcoBoost engine.

Sorry you feel us EB posters are clicky but will have to say that there is much less hostility in this area....:hail::hail:

Actually not that many EB engined vehicles delivered, so we have rather unique drives.

Yeah, I know, maintaining a car is a *****. When your brick is out of warranty, are you going to sell it once you have to start maintaining out of pocket?

Gee, I can't figure out why anyone wouldn't want to be on the other forums. These guys are turning out to be like to old SHO's---Outdated.

This is a great community. Just a few thick headed members try to ruin it for everyone else. As a gen 4 owner, I still dont really feel welcome here.

I have no problem starting off new. I was really starting to question if you were actually reading my posts or just writing your own reply to what you thought I wrote.

Nice to meet ya.

My heavily modded outdated car will out handle, out brake, gets better gas mileage, smogs much lower than most cars, and has a higher top speed than the new car. And it only cost me 30,000 less.

I love the new SHO, but man, it's a boat.

Thanks, seems funny I never had any issues with anything here until St. Louis SHO stirred this thing up...don't really know why. Anyway, thanks to all the guys that have be very helpful with Gen 4 info and I really hope someone puts the anger and smart a** comments to bed. But after the response that "automatics suck" I don't expect much intelligent discussion after that....
