Has anyone attempted this yet, I am going to try it with my 30 Gig, to put the ipod is a hidden place and no wires showing. Just an idea.

It should work if it will fit. I put my Sirius radio where the ash tray goes so there is a lid to cover it when I'm away from the car (I have a 2nd gen center console BTW)

I will take a pic if works and post it, I don't have the piece yet, had to get one, but going to give it a try. I think it will work good honestly. May have to carve some channels for the wires, but that should be all.
