Well after seeing the pictures of that mustang pistol grip shifter on our your car, I started searching the internet for something I'd would like and I ended up with this...4bbcb1bea5b789825506f84f39f517a6E8b36b7ac793e6f339f920c4eb9a8248

It looks great! I’ve got a couple questions. They have one on the site that is a complete kit including the ball. Then they have one that is called a “Universal” kit for Mustang automatics. But you have to order the ball separately. I’m not really sure what the difference is but it looks like the shaft is a little longer. Plus it looks like it has that little bulge at the bottom like yours does. Was that the one you ordered?

I got the universal one without the ball because I already had a ball so I didn't need the complete kit.

I'm guessing you just lift the little lip under the shifter to get it into gear?

Last question. Did you use the S550 shifter and not the S197?

You push the ball down to get it into gear.

I have been searching for some Interior Mods. I spend 2.5-3 hours a day riding in my car and want to enjoy it. I have began to collect some items while the car is in the Body Shop. So far I have:
-Sync 3 Upgrade (Junkyard sourced for $250!)
-Speaker Upgrade (Infinity Kappa)
-LED Light Upgrade

I saw someone put a Mustang Shift **** from UPR in their car. I am hoping to find more tricks like this. Things people have adapted to fit, make the car more comfortable, aesthetically appealing, etc. I see we have an Exterior Mod category but was hoping some people could point out some Interior ideas. I get my car back on Thursday :waiting: and have a decent pile of stuff to put on it and hope to document it all on here. THANKS!
I’ve done many of the ones listed here and learned of a few more. Here’s a couple I like.
The radar detector and dash cam. Both have saved me from tickets. The radar detector because, well, that’s what they do! The dash cam because I was able, with still frames, prove to the judge I was in the 55 mph zone and not the 35 as charged. I also learned to either turn down the tunes or turn up the radar detector. It only works if you hear it! The other is a mount for the phone that is plugged into the USB. Pull up the trim on the side and run the cable from the USB in the console and have it come out under the mount. Now I get in, slide the phone in the mount, and it’s plugged into Sync, etc. I’ve since cleaned it up so you can’t see the cable at all. One other thing I did was cut the trigger wire to the rear sunshade. It is still controllable from the dash button. But I thought, living in the south and with a rear camera, there would be a lot of needless up and down. Causing parts to wear out sooner. Little things, but I like them.

How did you run the dash cam wire? In my '14 SEL the headliner didn't budge at all to get the wire behind. I ran it from the top of the windshield to the A pillar, down around the glovebox to the cigarette lighter. Also the cigarette lighter port stayed on all the time, even if the car was off.. Causing my dash cam to remain on 24/7. I haven't put it in the SHO yet. Did you do anything different running the wire?

@JRV1631 cut the trigger wire? Do you have more on this? I hate putting it back up after reversing.

It looks like someone came along 6 months after me and had some issues. I missed the notification from the forum or I would have attempted to assist. Mine works like I always wanted. No issues with reverse lights or camera or anything else. I can also send my original photos if needed because they’re much smaller here.

I did the phone mount and reverse sunshade myself. The radar detector and dash cam I subbed out to a local stereo shop. So I’m afraid I can’t answer that one. Sorry. I think there is a setting in FORScan where you can determine PowerPoint shut off times.

www.proclipusa.com. Comes in two pieces. The base and then you can pick your mount. Powered or not. Since I don’t have factory nav I use car play instead. So I went with powered. Plus once you’re at your destination, your phone is fully charged. When we bought the Explorer it had factory nav. Maybe it’s because I’m used to it but I much prefer going through my phone. Easier to search and more intuitive imho. Guess I need to dust behind it!

That looks pretty sweet, but they don't have one for my phone and the universal has the charge plug in the middle. It's a shame that part isn't adjustable too.

Coming from a Saturn Vue that had a similar setup, I thought they all has that. Mine also has these curved plastic pieces. Not sure if they are to hold a flat tire or what???

 Maybe? No clue. Haven't seen pictures of them or instructions. Never played golf so, I got no idea. Using that idea and searching, this may be a golf bag???

Yep. That’s a set of clubs. Plus after I posted that I read a little deeper into the thread and saw that 6500rpm had confirmed that was their purpose and he had given his away. I wouldn’t imagine you’d be able to find one of these today. As many times as I’ve done a web search for Ford Taurus SHO accessories it’s never come up.

I take that back. I did a search specifically for this and found one at a Ford dealer on line. It’s a useful idea. Just not north of $200 useful with shipping.
