i was driving the other night, and i noticed my clock wasn't lit up with the rest of the gauges. i know the cruise and the lights arent supposed to light up, but what about the clock? i also noticed in the daylight, that it will speed up, and i have to reset it every week. is it just a bulb. maybe a fuse? let me know if anyone's got one layin around..........

Sounds like your clock is toast. I would jet get another one from the junkyard or just ignore it.

I'm assuming since your name has first gen mentioned in it that's what you have. The bulb is replaceable in those, but you would be better off getting a different clock :thumb:

While we're on the topic the interior clock in my 94 ATX does not work either. Donno if its related, but the door chime doesnt work either, but that is something I can live with. All the fuses are good, what else is there to check?

Firstgenrook - I bought a replacement clock for my 89 at a junkyard. They are fairly plentiful considering there millions of Tauri/Sables built. Just stick a pin in the holes and they pop out.

They charged me $10 for a clock. I thought that was kind of high but I didn't feel like arguing.

Also note, there are TWO fuses for the clock. One is for the bulb and the other is for the numbers. So be sure you checked both.
