So I checked the intercooler for oil with the dipstick. Does this look like she needs sucked out? She's hesitating at low speeds, 35 or slower. Just did new plugs and air filter. Thoughts? 5568070f79436d86b9dc81255a0df389

I have about the same amount in mine. from what I was told on here that amount wont hurt anything but doesn't hurt to suck it out anyways

Clean it out! LSPI is real and oil vapor droplets can make LSPI events much more likely. Hopefully youre also using a sythethic oil that has low volatility. Also check/borescope your intake valves to see if they have carbon masses forming on them. (A result of oil vapors in the intake). Those carbon tumors and formations will also cause the low speed stumbling you speak of. Also check your knock sensor wiring for chafing.

Also, did this issue start or become more pronounced after the plugs were changed?

The stumbling was occurring before I changed them out. That was the reason I did so. And not to sound stupid, but where's the knock sensor located?

They all looked like this. The car's at the tranny shop now getting diagnostics run for the problem. Stumbling is occurring more often too. 2a89a8fad8ac66825f495d9bb1a3fc0b

They didn't get to it today. Said first thing in the morning. Really hoping for good news but preparing for bad.

Will do. I'm posting here and the ecoboost forum, same user name. One of pet peeves is when someone posts a problem and never tells the outcome.

I was just reading up a post from 2011. talking about chaffed wiring on the knock sensor and it basically rubbing on the engine and causing this kind of problem. gonna check mine out tomorrow

Someone said that to me today too. But I don't know where that is located or what it looks like.

That gap looks huge for what they're suppose to be. .34~ if not tuned, .28-.30 tuned.

Still no image. Just let me know what topic or thread you found it. Did a search and found nothing.

They're actually gapped at 30. So I checked the new ones before installing at 30 too.
