Hello to all again.

Just wanted to update ya'll with the beefed up air intake project that I was pondering over the past few days.

Went to V8SHO.com and read up on the Cone Filter idea. I decided to do it!! Went through E-Bay and nobody was selling an E-0940 model # (that's what V8SHO.com suggested) So I found one for about $40 at the local AutoZone. Hooked it all up and man does it look sweet, I should have some pictures up soon on my website for all the world to see. Anyways, of all the days for it to snow and ice up with about an inch of ice!!! Now that I just installed it and got it all working good, I can't test drive it, just spin the tires and get an idea of what it sounds like.

Thanks again for all the ideas and help!!

Next project will be the Flowmaster Delta Flow exhaust!!

I can send you a cardboard template of my heat shield if you would like.
Is made from 16ga. cold roll steel, cut with WISS Aviation snips. Fairly easy to do.

I might try a idea that I had last night first. I was going to try to use the upper half of the air box where the MAF was originally attached and mount the Cone Filter to it. Thanks for the offer though. If I fail terribly at this than I'll probably be getting back with you!!

OK by me, is 12 degrees outside right now, and in that I have no useable garage to perform surgery in, I will wait for a bit.
I will however get some pictures shot and posted this week and make that cut out available to those who would like it.

Cool ! Pictures would be great!

Snow is starting to melt here and soon, very soon, I will be able to "open her up" on the highway to see what this cone filter has done for me!!

I put a cone on my wifes 99sho. It lasted a day. The car was obnoxiously loud. She thought I had broke it. I do not know if there was any increase in power. The sound was pretty cool though.

I tried an alternative of my own. It can be found in the REMOVING THE SAXACONE thread. If you want pics just let me know and I will send them to you.
