ok the question is i got my 3.2 mtx now and ive been driving it on my wear in period which im up to 52 miles now (woohoo) anyways when i get it to 4k where the bbb open and make that loved growl like it did on the 3.0 donor car with p&p heads intake and the BBB with k&n pan filter.
my 3.2 doesnt... i remember it sounded the best on my 3.2 atx setup and ive heard before its because how the intake tube is on the atx. well anyways on the 3.0 it still sounded real nice and probley deeper of a growl.

im almost sure its still opening, the car feels stronger then ever but i just dont know why i wouldnt be getting the sound.

when i hit the gas under the hood on the tb i can see the butterflies flick up and down (the little tab part) so like i said im sure they are working... if they are opening all the way thats a different story.
even under the hood tho when i hit the gas i barely hear the intake...

one thing tho for sure i hear a pretty good hissing of the intake box where the filter is which i dont care about more air the better i say.

i know my dynomax got louder and with the hollowed out cats the exhaust is pretty good for sure.

one other question.. on the stock dynomax setup what muffs are used since i now found a leak. are they the turbos or something else? i personally want the straight threw design they have to offer but i dont want a rasp and rice sound... i loved the dynomax stock sound its like the perfect mellow sound with no harsh rasp.

thanks in advance :thumb:

FWIW I noticed the same thing on my 3.2 MTX after doing the trans swap. It's just not as noticable when the secondaries open as it was when it was an atx...I keep reading your threads and it sounds like we keep having very similar 'problems' with our swapped cars.

Not sure about the secondaries...but a lot of people recommend Magnaflow mufflers on the Dynomax system:thumb:

See if you can find an 80mm MAF, with the cone filter. It's preferred that you run the cone with a heat shield, but even without one, heat soak isn't an issue once you get rolling.

The 80mm + BBB's should growl loud enough to scare oncoming traffic :thumb:
