I recently had an F-150 ecoboost come through my body shop for front end repairs. During the repair process, his intake to the turbo got replaced with one that doesn't have the baffles in it. While he complained about the extra noise, he did mention that he felt more power. I was just wondering if anyone has removed the baffles from a SHO?

I might be wrong...but, I think Ford removed those baffles from the F150's as part of a TSB. The intercooler in the F150 was working 'too well' in that on hot humid days, it would condense moisture on those baffles. Upon full acceleration, the moisture would get sucked into the engine causing the engine to go into limp home mode until things dried out, or the engine was restarted.
If you remove the baffles from the SHO, I don't think you'll get the cooling effect from the incoming air that you need for max performance.
