I successfully installed my new Alpine CD player today. The problem is when I was installing it, I accidentally touched some of the wires together, and my instrament panel flickered once, and then went out. I checked fuse 8 but its fine. Everything else works. Any ideas?

Check more fuses. I have seen more than one fuse identified incorrectly in the manual as to the systems protected by it.

Sure enough, a 5 amp fuse was blown instead of the 15 amp fuse that the manual said ran the dash lights. I replaced it, and now they work. Thanks for the advice.
