twin turbos are nicer then a huge turbo because of the lag..well if engine space&money wasn't a problem is there any reason why you couldn't y-pipe a supercharger and a turbo together and if so which would be better for lag elimination. i know to most i will sound like a tard but oh well I am also the person that wants a mini turbo on each cylinder. it would sound hilarious

psssh pssssh pssssh pssssh pssssh pssssh

also what if you somehow routed a second gas line and had a small engine to run your accesories and if your really crazy to use the exhaust from that to turbo

all weird ideas..

well I don't know about the supercharger and turbo.. but what's this about running another motor just for the pumps? well you could get a little 25hp honda V2 and run that in the trunk, but it probably would be too much work running things like the water pump and PS lines back to the front.. and then you'd have to worry about how much power the alternator on there would be making..

just conform and buy a SS kit.. or... an FPS kit.

Have you been in a boosted SHO yet? Try that out with a current Vortech or Tim's turbo SHO and see if you really need a supercharger and turbocharger. Josh's heavy duty gear set would be a MUST with both.

I think the extra weight from the motor wouldn't show any gain over just running the accessories as is.

That's called twin charging, been used on an MR2 and a few other engines....it does work ;) superchargers work best at low rpms, where the turbo needs help boostin'....very very good idea ;) kind of like using a small turbo to spool a large turbo...

And, in the latest Car & Driver mag, they announced VW going into production with a turbo/supercharger setup on a small (under 2.0L) engine for the same reasons as stated above. They claim better power and better fuel economy.

Go for it! Turbos are much better suited for our engines (IMHO) due to having no high RPM issues. Even Josh will agree with that. So, add a supercharger with a clutch (like the MB uses) so you could have it turn off at say 4.5K when the turbo kicks in really good. Tune the turbo for high RPMs and you will have a really amazing beast!

Oh, and you will need about 25K for the beefing of the car and parts for the project, in my estimation. :)
