when installing the CPS, do you just bolt it into place so it doesn't make contact with the pully or is there a clearance that you have to be within? I am almost done. So far its going better than I thought it was going too. The only problem I have hit is one of the o-ring on the water pump has expanded to large.

You should have .030 gap between the sensor and the interrupter ring. That should just about center the vane in the window.

Make certain you rotate the crank through one completre revolution to make certain the vanes aren't bent and making contact with the sensor window.

I believe Fel-Pro makes an o-ring/gasket kit. O'reilly has it for about $11 IIRC.

The crankshaft position sensor has no O-ring or gasket. It is bolted to the engine with two Philips headed, stainless steel screws.

Well the car is put back together...no problems, no leaks....yet. It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. It started right up no problem at all. Thanks for the help and advice. All I can hope for is that is what was making the car stall.
