There really isn't a gap at the throttle shaft, just around the edge, most of the way around.

It really isn't a big deal, and I don't really mean to gripe about it... Just posting the resuts of my install.

After driven it today with more than a few spirited runs, I can say that it did help in the upper RPM's. After about 7500, you could feel the engine starting to run out and the pull from 75 to 80 wasn't there. After the install, the engine pulls stronger between 7500-8200. I have also noticed snap throttle gear changes are MUCH easier and faster. This alone makes the car much more fun to drive. The added growl is also a bonus :nut: . I don't think it added much if any hp, if it did it's on the order of 2-3, but it did move the power around from what I can tell.

Overall I am happy with it(believe it or not), it's what you expect when installing a bigger throttle body. Not the same as slapping a bigger TB on a Mustang, but when can you ever compare modding a SHO to a Stang.

This is all first hand experience on my car... so other results may/will differ.

Yeah that just bugs me though, when I sell things I want my customers to be happy, and it's just weird that there is that much of a gap that the car won't idle below 1100.

It's not bad, and actually I don't mind it one bit. Helps get this car rolling alittle easier with the 17lb flywheel and CM3 clutch.

actually the idle would be from the gap in your throttle body i made the mistake of using a mtx tb i sent in for the bore and plate to be made then i made the mistake of using a atx rod in it and it caused a whole lot of problems getting it to work right. one of them being the idle.

also if you have a raised idle via tweecer turn it down. the proper way to turn up the idle is with the idle set screw. the screw should be set 133 rpms below the desired idle. in reality the IAC isnt suposed to raise the idle.

when i had the 69MM TB installed and stock idle i had a slight issue with the throttle if you hit it on fast it would stumble slightly then pick up plus the idle just seemed weird.
after i set the screw it is much much better now actually responds faster and the cars idle smoothed out a lot.
also the afr seems to be better for idle and tip in throttle
