1993MTXSHO
Its a Taurus...
There really isn't a gap at the throttle shaft, just around the edge, most of the way around.
It really isn't a big deal, and I don't really mean to gripe about it... Just posting the resuts of my install.
After driven it today with more than a few spirited runs, I can say that it did help in the upper RPM's. After about 7500, you could feel the engine starting to run out and the pull from 75 to 80 wasn't there. After the install, the engine pulls stronger between 7500-8200. I have also noticed snap throttle gear changes are MUCH easier and faster. This alone makes the car much more fun to drive. The added growl is also a bonus. I don't think it added much if any hp, if it did it's on the order of 2-3, but it did move the power around from what I can tell.
Overall I am happy with it(believe it or not), it's what you expect when installing a bigger throttle body. Not the same as slapping a bigger TB on a Mustang, but when can you ever compare modding a SHO to a Stang.
This is all first hand experience on my car... so other results may/will differ.
Yeah that just bugs me though, when I sell things I want my customers to be happy, and it's just weird that there is that much of a gap that the car won't idle below 1100.
