Have to replace the RF inner on my 90. Should I try and get the tool from Pep Boy's, or should I pay someone to do it? Looks like a pain compared to the outer.

It's not any harder than the outers. Just get the tool and spin the inner piece out. You'll need new clamps for the rubber bellows. You'll also see the plastic spacers used in the SHO rack; some leave them in, others toss 'em. Just get it aligned when you're done.

Did you recently do the outter?

I was advised by someone a while back that doing a single, inner or outter (particularly inner) is dumb. The entire tie rod assy. is cheap, forget the actual price. So unless you did the outters last month, be smart, change the whole dang thing. 40 bucks seems to ring a bell, not sure if that was one or the pair. If one is bad, the other is usually not far behind. And yes, it is fairly easy, just get the tool, a bigass deep socket, basically and it's a snap. But check for a set screw on the inner. If the one on your car currently is not OEM, it will have a set screw which locks it in place (2.5 mm allen, I think). I found this out by cursing and swearing as I fought one off once. Look at your new one, you'll see what I mean. And yes, do replace the boot. The old one may be fine, but, it's off and it's cheap and you know what that means.
