Ok maybe I just need some more convincing... Heres the deal

I have my '90 256k miles stock besides Y-pipe and Borla catback, she runs like a damned ***** ape hence the reason why im having trouble deciding what to do. I have a 80k 3.2 sitting in the barn collecting dust and im pondering on swapping it for the stock 3.0, and I heard about the slight gains from a 3.2 with the 3.0 cams etc... but do you guys think it would be worth doing the swap seeing how my 3.0 runs so good the way it is? I mean the car puts my buddies pullied and tuned GTP to shame it's taken down its fair share of mustang gt's even an '05.

I just don't want to be disappointed if i do the work to swap it out and have my 3.0 run better. I know it was a good running 3.2 as i drove the car it was in but IDK guys im torn on what to do. I guess if it didnt run as good I could always just put it back.

Give me some insight LOL

If your 3.0 runs that good leave it in.
Save the 3.2 for later on down the road or sell it.

I am still waiting on a 3.2 MTX to show me why I need a 3.2. :) I believe the dyno's, but for 5-10 hp, just seems like a lot of extra work. Now if the 3.0 has issues.. then thats a different story.

I alway's tell people the 3.2 swap has the same performance increase as going from a stock Y pipe to an aftermarket one. This only apply's to MTX sho's.

Nope the car actually runs smoother and quieter than both my other sho's, it throws no CEL's only thing that bothers me on the car is the crack in the dash. As I was typing this my dad called me from the local pick n pull and gave me a heads up on a black interior thats in good shape so i may have to go grab that up.

I think im just gonna leave the 3.2 sit untill I NEED it!

I can't tell much, but right now I have 3.0 with few mods and 3.2 swap with a little more mods and before i had 3.0 with a lot of mods and 3.2 swap seems to have more torque. But i will really see how different these 2 engines are after i put aluminium flywheel on 3.2(sometime within 2 next weeks)

I've always looked at 3.2 MTX as more bragging rights than anything.
