That is an option I guess? What do you think Paul?

I never really thought of that, but seems like it's a good idea in theory.

If it doesn't end up working, RTV works fine.

I am honestly now wishing i would have just cleaned the IMRC up and just wired the butterflies open. I cannot for the life of me get anything to work except using JB Stick.

I just ran out of the JB Stick stuff so I gotta wait a bit to get some more.

Im just having a hard time trusting anything in those holes. Seems to me the Aluminum would expand and then the JB Weld would then be left loose inside the holes and could then fall out.

I'm confused as to why you are having such a hard time...?? Just put the RTV or JB Weld (RTV preferred) in the holes.. and let it sit.. that's about all you have to do.

What is happening with yours?

Not sure what happened, I got some more JB stick and got all the holes that need to be filled in filled in. Stuff is already rock hard and i've already sanded it all back smooth. My biggest fear is of the JB coming out. It seems people do it all the time and no one has reported any issues. Hope this all works. Going back out side to throw the surge tank back on then i will start putting it all back together. I may go to a Junk Yard and get a LIM and have the welding shop Tig weld the holes shut. Gonna mine with the JB weld for roughly 3 weeks assuming it holds up that long then swap the other LIM in.

you sure are going through an awful lot of trouble over something that's already been proven...

I think you are getting too concerned... it shouldn't come loose.. as I've had mine in place for over a year and just checked it 2 weeks ago and they are all still holding up just fine.

You have to remember that it would take a lot of pressure in order to suck the JB weld/RTV out of there because it would not only have to suck one out, but the other side two because it would have to create an equal amount of pressure through there.

So, they will hold up, don't worry.

I am sure the JB weld is in there good. I was able to basically pack all the holes. once the jb started going through to the other side of the hole i was basically able to put my finger over the other hole and basically squeeze my finger together and make sure it was as compact as it probably can get.

Just fired it back up. Ran like total Poo for about 15 seconds due to no IMRC's. Smoothed right out. Gonna let it sit for another hour and drive it home and park it for the rest of today until tomorrow.

Thank's for all the help guys.
