No, got SP534's installed and gapped to 0.30... Just out of curiosity, would you damage the engine or something by running older plugs?
They had a problem with the heat, and came gapped at .035...non tuned they're not bad, not good either...but tuned definitely want the correctly gapped 534's

So I installed the tune just now, and went for a test drive.. First thing i noticed is that there's a lot more turbo whistle, I can actually hear it inside the car now as I accelerate!
The car feels faster for sure, but now WOW fast, to me at least.. I am however having some issues, the car feels like its surging under full power, and when I let off the throttle the bov's do their job and then I hear like whistle/sucking sound
Could it be that boost is leaking out somewhere??? Or is the surging I'm feeling due to me using the 2 bar map?

I did a couple runs 0-60 and one 0-100 (on a closed track obviously)
I timed it using my phone and got 5.4 0-60, now obviously me timing it with the stopwatch on my iphone isn't going to be 100% accurate, but I was expecting it to be faster... The car spins 1st, then chirps second and pulls a lot harder than stock that's for sure! During my little adventure though, I realized my breaks suck!
After a couple runs 0-60 they started to smell and faded badly! So maybe my next upgrade will be breaks :frown:

Ok enough ramble, time to get some sleep, the driving actually made me nauseas from the launches!

Edit: I uploaded a video on youtube 0-100, if someone wants to take a look, also see if you notice the sound of the engine sounds kind of strange around 8-10 seconds in the video..

Awesome post! I'm jealous that you were able to find a 25 hour/day track in your area! Maybe I should move by you LOL.

There are going to be a few noises that you will hear now that "weren't there before", and that is just because of the higher boost, shifting pressures, etc....
Nothing to worry yourself over. The 4+X tune is even quicker still! If your 4+ tune made you sick just wait!

Brakes are a great idea if you plan on pushing the car on closed tracks of races on the streets of Mexico lol. We do have a few great brake upgrade kits for you to choose from if you do decide to delve into that pool later on.

Think that surging could be from wet roads and car fighting for grip?

Driving the car to work today, just driving normally the car feels a lot smoother, and gear changes are much quicker and smoother! Of course as soon as I press the go pedal I can hear the turbos spool up and I get shoved back in the seat in a different way than stock :omgsho:

The car does fee like its surging in a way tho, kind of like boost is leaking out somewhere, and when I floored it today, after I let of the gas I heard a weird rattle from around the front of the dashboard..

Roads were dry, so couldn't have been that, I don't know how to explain it, wish someone lived close by so they could test drive it!

Probably time to check hoses & clamps. They are notorious for splitting and/or coming loose.

Something is definitely weird with my car, today when I drove to work, I couldn't hear the turbos spool up, the car pulled ok, but no turbo sound..
And when I got off the gas the blow off valves popped off twice, if you know what I mean.. I'm gonna try to get a video of it later. I checked all the hoses and couldn't find any loose hose or anything :squint:

Rod let go and put a big window in the side of the block. All the Eco F150's that have blown pretty much blow the same way. They have done it stock, tuned doesn't matter. I didn't drive my truck hard at all. In fact it blew when I was getting off the highway with little throttle input. I think its either 1. stuck injectors that flood the cylinder and hydrolock it or the infamous gulp of condensation that gathers in the intercooler. I'm leaning on the injector problem, because in the weeks before my motor blew, my MPG went to ****, and sometimes in the morning when I would start it up, it would blow out a bunch of black smoke. One time throwing it into limp mode.
There has been about 30+ Eco F150's this year that have blown.
I'm still running my Livernois tunes. I have no warranty anymore. Its not the tunes (Atleast LMS tunes) that are blowing the motors so, I said screw it. I'm gonna enjoy it.
Not sure who told you about the blown engine 'facts', but they confabulate. Each and every motor issue is discussed in a Ford facility daily at an all-department Quality meeting. All motors, including yours, are torn back and each component is analyzed. The dealer only exchanges the blown motor, and if no mods were present, the customer receives a free replacement motor. In the last 4 years, three motors were not replaced due to mods. All other customers received new motors, and while rod failure is the most common, it's usually due to anti-freeze finding it's way into the cylinder causing hydro-lock. It's unlikely the mods caused your issue, but not likely it could easily be proven.

I'm only familiar with the motors that are returned to the point of manufacture, but denied claims are discussed also.

I'm an engineer working in the engine plant, and also a very happy owner of a '15. Had to get one before they stopped taking orders.
Thanks again. Having insight into the vehicle at this level whets & sates our appetites as enthusiasts :thumb:

All warranty work returned to point of manufacture has the VIN tied to it. If the whole engine was replaced, get the VIN and I can check the tearback report. Not sure if the dealers act on their own when mods are detected, only know what comes back to the plant.

When I get a tune I will restore to stock before returning the car to the dealer, and BTW, I always disconnect the battery when I store the car. But that's just me....:)

Not trying to argue at all...to be clear.

Just stating, for info purposes, what I've witnessed....most guys De-mod and drain battery completely...others just bit the bullet and bought a motor.

You never know, it seems, what the dealers are doing out there to make money.

I will eventually likely buy a new motor, but it would be with all improved internals. In the meantime I'll be doing the Livenois tune before spring. My car is stored right now.
Many years ago, I helped a friend put a V-8 in Corvair. Yep, a Corvair. He used to destroy GTO's and pretty much everything else on the street. It was just a question of which race he would have to be towed home from for transaxle failure. Plenty of parts were in the junkyard. If I keep the SHO long enough, the lift I bought six years ago will be getting a workout :)
