Ok so some unexpected bills have come up, and I can't afford to buy my livernois tuner at the moment :/ Can anyone tell me what the main difference between livernois and unleashed is? I spoke with torrie today and he's saying 30-40whp with a 93 tune and a 3 bar map, but using my stock thermostat.
Is that comparable to livernois?

It is not. Our stock car 93 tuning yields 55whp! AND, we do not charge for any remote retuning we do for additional parts. You will have to pay Torrie to do your remote tuning updates for new parts. We don't burden you with datalogging because we own the cars that we tune, and have tuned more EcoBoosts than anyone but FOrd themselves. Just look at the fastest, quickest and longest lasting modded cars out there...they all share one thing...Livernois.

I actually had someone call and speak to me personally, saying that he spoke to Torrie before calling us and the difference in pricing is that you have to pay for retuning.

Hmmm. That's a change in policy if true. Thanks for the heads up.

EDIT: Just spoke with Torrie. If you change vehicles or make changes to your setup that significantly change the power/performance behavior, then yes, there is an extra charge. An example given was bigger turbos. So it sounds like when it's no longer tweaking the tune (e.g. taking significant amounts of programming revisions) is when there are pricing changes.

Any different from Livernois policy?

You can estimate what a vehicle produces at its crank by looking at the marketed power numbers from the car manufacturers VS what the vehicle actually made on a chassis dyno. For example, the Taurus SHO is advertised and marketed by Ford as having 365HP and it does...at the crank and on 93 octane fuel. BUT, on a chassis dyno it will make between 275 and 285 wheel hp (WHP). That is a difference of about 75HP. So just from doing some quick and easy math you can estimate that a tuned SHO that now makes 355-375 WHP is now making an ESTIMATED 440 crank HP. But that is just that...and estimate...a guess. There is no science in what I just did...I made and educated estimation based on the advertised stock crank power VS what it makes on a chassis dyno.

I have a couple of colleges at work that have tuned cars, they are always bragging saying their car makes 350 or 400hp, and I always ask them "at the wheels?" And they are like "doesn't matter it's the same thing... Lol not even close! But in bragging rights, I will say mine makes about 430-440 after I tune it hehehehe

Hp bragging rights are one thing, 0-60 in under 4 seconds and 1/4 mile in under 12 seconds with just a tune. That is real bragging rights there. My fastest time to date is 12.62 with almost a full tank of gas and my full stereo installed. What I like to call my street time ;) thanks to LMS

What can I expect in terms of 0-60 with just a tune and 3bqr? Fastest I've done stock is 5.7

Just as I stated above, depending on the track of course. Your DA will impact your times, but with just a tune sub 12 seconds and 0-60 in about 4 seconds.
