I'm running Meth without being dependent.

And she is being babied until my new mount arrives. My first wheel hop on E30 and I thought I snapped something, was enough for me to realize I needed to upgrade. My PPE DPs show up in 2 weeks "fingers crossed" and when there installed plus install of 370cc nozzle from Devils, new mount, then its off to Dyno then strip.
The first couple violent wheel hops will startle ya lol.

You're not the only one, the first rip I took in it the wheel hop was so bad, I checked my rearview mirror to see if I left my transmission on the road!

AEM nozzle has a built in check valve but the O-ring that's in-between the quick connect and check valve already failed. When I purchased the kit, the 250cc was already installed by AEM and brad wanted me to use there smallest nozzle so I never took nozzle apart until my rough starts where getting out of hand and that's when I saw ring smashed and cut on one side, whoever assembled it before it got to me obviously didn't care about there work. When I ordered a devils own nozzle this morning I also got there check valve and low profile holder. And yeah I kept thinking of putting pump down there, but after sitting on it for a night I went this route, not being tuned for meth was the only reason I did what I did that and time of install. So even if there is a failure, I wont suffer the consequences nor have to take front end apart to start over.

The concern isn't between the pump and the nozzle, but more between the reservoir and the pump. If the fluid backfills into the reservoir and replaces the line fluid with air, you'll **** all that air into the pump and it has a potential to cavitate the pump, rendering it useless until evacuated and primed. So you would usually place a check valve at the reservoir to keep the -4 line full of fluid and reducing air volume.

The check valve on the nozzle is to keep the nozzle from sucking air back into the system when you stop injecting, much in the same way our DI injectors need a check valve to prevent combustion from creating back pressure on the injector and cavitating it as well.

My placement of filter above pump was in the theory to keep liquid above the pump at all times. Problem I had with the AEM nozzle is the failure of the o ring which allowed the engine to syphon what was in my line even at startup, by bypassing the check valve in the nozzle. I do appreciate the advice and will look into placing a check valve at reservoir.

My first round with Brad AJP turbo is done. My car has a 92 AO tune . I must say he knows what he is doing. He understood I wanted, to run meth but not be dependent. So we made a compromise, my degree of timing being AO tune allowed me to run a AEM 50/50 kit with a 250cc nozzle and not being tuned for it. I've done 2 dozen runs to engage the spray and the car responded instantly and had 0 issues. And my b u t t Dyno was impressed. I did a log for Brad without meth and my iat2 hit 150. I have logged same 3 pulls for myself and with meth the highest temp was 105, these pulls were done on 95 degree days. Biggest plus is I get more cooling and a little more power. And if I have a meth failure the car can adjust without the worry of damage. Very happy with the result. Keeping meth for the next step into a E30 tune. After E30 and when DPs arrive I should be at 400whp and 500tq on stock pumps, and stock IC. Not bad for not being meth dependent. My car gets the high without the overdose. The filter is above the pump and the nozzle is higher than the pump And I used the washer tank. I start for spray at 7psi. A full on/off setup, non-progressive. Here is some pics of my install. I know some might cringe on where I put the pump but it works just fine. It cut down my I install, only took 4hrs.
My car has this kit from previous owner but the dealership I bought it from I think disconnected it and I think he tapped it into washer fluid tank any tips?

Are you trying to remove it?

Methanol does a lot of things. You probably have a nozzle on your intake before the throttle body. That’s where the methanol sprays. It cools intake temps, cleans parts of your engine, it also adds a decent amount of HP depending on the setup. If the car is tuned for methanol and you run out while WOT it could cause some problems if you induce air in the system. Most people are not tuned for methanol so the odds of your car being so are slim IMO.

Did the car come with the tuning device?
Any other mods that you know of?

Welcome to the group :)

Do you have a tuning device? Like an SCT x4 or something like that?

Keep it, I use washer tank for my setup. Had to prime, being pump doesn't sit below reservoir, but has not failed so far, except for the crappy AEM v3 nozzles which is now devil's own. My tuner is Brad, I get cleaning, cooling, and a little bump in HP. Methanol is worth it.
