I was just checking around for coils and came across a no name brand set of 8 brand new coils for $224.95. I didn't see a label on the tops, they were just plain black. Wonder if they are any good, they also sell individually for $49.95 and that is the cheapest I have seen, although the set of 8 is actually $28.11 per coil, which really makes me wonder how good they are.

I'm in need of 4 coils for the rear of my 97'. I'd be willing to experiment for that price. I'm assuming they have more than 8 coils in stock?

The seller's name is "alanisdeals" and the item # for the set is 170262164677.
It says there are 8 available, so that may mean eight sets or 8 coils, I would assume 8 sets.
Just search ebay for "taurus sho ignition coils" and they are on there, and I think the seller must have a store on there becuse the prices listed were "buy now" prices and he has several coils for other vehicles listed as well. Hope this helps anyone, I really need to get some coils but can't really afford it at this time, (just spent some money on the Expedition's air ride control compressor) fun job that was. But I figured I would pass along my ebay find on to my SHO-BRO's on here and maybe this will help someone out.

And those offer 12 months warranty- the cheapest ones at AutoZone do not, even though I think the cheap ones for $70-something are actually Wells coils. You have to go up to the next expensive ones ($115-ish?) to get the warranty. I ordered 4 of the cheap ones and got 3 black no-marks like those and one Wells in the box when it showed up. I'm sure they're the same ones. I'd do it- I paid that for 4 coils...

I asked the seller what the brand was and he said they were "wellexpress". Don't know if that is the same as wells or not. I'm going to buy some. I'll let you know how that turns out.

I also asked the seller who the manufacturer is and they told me "Sparktronic, Inc."...

I wish we could pay $20/year to become something like "elite" members, with free classified ads included. No pay, no elite- can't use avatars, no emergency forum use, and no free ads.
