ok guys, most of the time when i put in the clutch (shifting, going around corners) or let my car idle after i've driven it any amount of time, the idle just oscilates from 1000-2200rpm, with one cycle about every second. I'm thinking it's my throttle position sensor. can any of you confirm that or is there something else i should look at?

Step 1: Verify that the cruise control cable is properly attached to the throttle. Mine comes off occasionally and does this every time.

Step 2: Inspect for a vacuum leak. I have observed this when there is a leak and the PCM is trying to correct idle speed but can't

Step 3: If the throttle cable is okay and there are no vacuum leaks, replace the Idle Speed Control/ Bypass Air valve.

You can try cleaning it first and performing the idle relearn procedure. You might get lucky. For the $55 cost (autoZone) of a new ISC/BPA/IAB valve, I'd give it a try.
