It's 4 degrees here in upstate NY today, it's been getting cold needless to say. I've been noticing some idle problems after starting the SHO and driving it for several minutes, especially when braking to a stop. I did install an 80mm Mark VIII MAF unit this past summer, along with an LPM to correctly configure the air flow. I never had any real fluctuations in RPMs at idle, it always stayed at or right around 1000. Now, in cold weather, it seems to dip to about 600 or so then bounces back up to 1200 on its own, but it continues to do this all the time at idle. Any insight as to what could be causing this?

I would suggest:

1) Reset your idle
2) Clean your IAB

Try those and see what that gets you

I would second the Idle Air Control Valve. It is a common Ford problem. In fact, I just installed a new one on a customers car. For the very same reason. Sometimes cleaning them out, does not handle the problem. But it is a less expensive alternative, when it works.

I second to clean it out. If the problem is still there, it may need replaced. They are about 50$ at the local parts store.

Thanks for the advice guys, it's great to have a wrecked 94 sitting in the yard to yank parts from when needed :thumb: I'll give it a whirl this weekend and see if that's the problem!
