I have a stopped Idle of about 1050 rpm. I have read on here that idle should be between 750 - 800 rpm. How do you adjust?

Disconnect your IAB. Does the car die or does the idle change? Could be stuck and in need of cleaning. Also disconnect your battery for a bit reconnect and start the car again. Did the idle go back to normal then?

First, try resetting the idle - CLICK ME

You need to go through this procedure every time you cut power to the computer (i.e. disconnecting the battery).

if the warm engine idle is at 1050 with the iac disconnected, that usually means that some ignorant prior owner adjusted the stop on the throttle plate at some point in the past. that is what I found on my 'new' 92, for example.

the warm idle with accessories off should be around 500 with the iac disconnected if the throttle plate stop is adjusted properly. that way, the iac can actually control the idle speed.
NOTE: do not screw with this unless you are sure that it is wrong, because its a very easy way to mess up how the engine runs!
