I'd like to try to start setting some dates for things this year. Hopefully we can do a little get-together with SHOCAGO guys this year as well.

I've got requests for:

Drag day at WIR (Kaukauna)
Drag day at Rock Falls (Eau Claire)
Drag day at 'Da Grove (Union Grove)
Tech meet ( shrug )
Joint meet with SHOCAGO ( shrug )
60k Meet (could go along with other tech meet, though I'd prefer to have a few different ones at different skill levels, i.e. a n00b to cars would have a harder time following a full 60k than an intake cleaning)
Superbowl Party at Tom's (2-1-04, no Packers though :()
Bowling/other activity (Paintball is very fun; there are quite a few places in the Milwaukee area and I'm sure elsewhere we could do this)
SCCA Event (sometime in spring/summer in MKE. I will check out Milwaukee SCCA Calendar for dates)

Anyone have any other suggestions? I see no reason why we couldn't do all of these things in '04

For tech stuff, god knows we can use my car Andy, all the work that will be getting done to it in Spring, when it comes time to do the rod bearings, 60k stuff, anything engine related, people might want to see. Also redoing the suspension, installing a clutch, etc.

I can keep track of any SCCA stuff through the Milwaukee region if you want........I am there as much as I am here anyway. If we want to set up a club day at an autox, I can see if we can get some sort of discount for club day (dosn't hurt to ask rofl ) As for WIR, as we probably will not get a big enough turnout to rent the track just for ourselves, we could look into open track nights and just go as a group (I think friday nights are $20 bucks for as many runs as you can get in!).

If SCCA is still going on and my suspension, engine, and all that other good stuff, is done, I'll be more than willing to participate in that!

Well they do have that meeting at miller park in the summer.... I've heard it's $30 a lap.... ???? shrug but i guess you need to be a SCCA member, of which i would like to be, once some debts are paid off ... madflame

The thing at Miller Park is SOLO II, Scca's brand of Autocross. The cost for non-SCCA members is $30 for the event (5-6 laps). $20 for pre-registered SCCA members. It is a lot of fun, although it is hard to be competative in an SHO, as our cars are all getting to be a little dated compared to the other cars in class (WRX STi, for example). But, with a good set of tires and a few suspension goodies.............. burnout I will post the Milwaukee Region Solo II schedule pretty soon.

I think I'll jump on that... just for fun.

Is it possible to bring friends along, who also might want to participate?

Anyone have the 60k tools? What about if we dont have them..everyone chip in whatever to have them availible..keep them somewhere like the chapter prezs house so it makes it easier for members to do the fix..maybe buy a bunch of shims and members can pay for what they use. Just a thought..
