MY "IAC" valve is not drawing in 1/4 of the amount of air it used to. All the vacuum lines are attached correcly. I believe it is dying on me... The cars idle sometimes acts erratic and jumps up when I put it in park, and has also stalled on me quite a few times recently. The only codes I'm pulling is a 335 and a 336. I have a brand new EGR valve W/ Sensor I put on, and the EGR ports have been recently cleaned by a professional. Anyone experience this, or know what the symptoms of a terminally ill "IAC" valve is?

Bob,

You just described the symptoms. :(

About $50-55 at AutoZone for a new one or take your chances with a used one.

yes he did.

BTW, is the one you have the cleanable type? there are two different types.

The orginal on my '89 was the cleanable kind, and I limped it along by cleaning and lubing it for 20k before it tied completely :D

I cannot recal if there is a difference in appearance between the two, but this is my (dead) IAC (or IAB) valve:

I just cleaned it for Bob a couple of weeks ago. It helped for a couple days, then went flaky again.
