...no matter how much it hurts.

I'm looking to do some sort of graphic scheme on my 92 to make it look different from everyone else's silver 92 (as if my spray painted hood doesn't already). Anywho, my wife came up with an idea that I think I like.......BOSS Mustang stripes.

Of course, I'd have to change the wording on the fender to say BOSS 3.2 or something to that effect, but I think it'd look kinda cool. let's get some opinions, and please, don't spare my feelings.......that's what the medication's for. :nut:

Yeah, but I wanna know if people are going to look and enjoy (like the pumpkin SHO with the flares up there with the sticky threads) or if people are gonna point, laugh and throw things. That's why I'm askin. So be honest.....pwease.

hmmm... boss stripes- id have to say no...

if its silver do like a color scheme...
if it was blue or green it would be much easyer for me-
say green w/ gold.... looks good
blue w/ white...
silver and black?
tint windows.... w/ a nice stripe... would work
HMMMM id do something that runs up the hood and fallows back to your trunk lid. i think that looks neat.

Boss stripes?? Hmm... Before seeing it Id say no, but throw us an image and it might possibly look cool. You should get a good photoshopper, and bring all these ideas to life. Its kinda easy to say no when your imagining it. I had an idea of blacking out the roof of a gen1 or 2. My friend did it to his 00' Bug, and it looked SICK. Everything from the first body line up black with a divider stripe maybe. I always have crazy ideas, but never do them cuz I cant photochop, and I dont have the time and $$ to go nuts. :nut: Photochoppers please step foward :corn:

I think whatever you decide to do, stay away from words. The stripes themselves may not look bad, but the word BOSS on the side wouldn't look right to me. I've also always been a fan of the two diagonal stripes on the top of the fender.

Check my sig, i did that stripe in photochop. I kinda like it. Its transparent red and dark grey. I think the Boss Stripe would be to wide.

go with something that goes up your good to the roof and down the trunk lid....
since the car is silver go with a color like black, or something that stands out- orange... red.... but if you dont have the color anywhere else on your car it will look out of place. everything has to "match" just like when your girlfriend or who ever says jeeze you dont match today... for me my mom says that

 You're mama dresses you funny!!!

Though in all seriousness, I've already started with a flat black theme all over the car....the slicers, the spoiler, the hood, a bunch of the interior has been custom done....so anything that I do will be flat black.

That is, unless i go with a ghost flame setup that I've also been pondering. just a vinyl outline that's a slightly darker shade than the rest of the paint. Or, if I had the money, I'd have the car repainted the original silver, but between clearcoat layers, I'd have little demons, imps and things like that airbrushed in a clear metallic so you'd only be able to see them up close and at the right angle....something to make people do a double take, ya know?

but then, if I could find someone to airbrush, I'd make the hood into a somewhat grim graveyard scene, so I could scare little kids while driving through neighborhoods with Cradle of Filth or Arch Enemy at high volumes.

Laugh, but it's a good deterrent for someone trying to rob the pizza guy. Are you gonna try to take money from someone who's listening to music that makes you wanna head to the nearest church for a confession?

lol...
yeah truely silver is a hard color to run a nice color scheme on- its a lighter color that doesnt contrast to much of anything- silver has its unique tone to it just like other colors unless your color blind -_-

It would be easier to do something like that reversed. Just swap on black bumper covers, and all the door cladding and rocker covers. Then put on a cowl hood and paint just the cowl black to match. I think that might look slick.
