I left the hospital friday night, car ran fine. Drove out to Detroit Saturday morning....car ran fine. Drive home from Detroit Saturday afternoon....car's hesitating and sputtering a bit. not too bad on the highway, but once I got back into the 'Zoo and in town, it was REALLY bad.
Got home, pulled the codes and was shocked to find a crap-load of em. most of them I know, but here goes.
511-ECU ROM failure....prolly cuz of the chip, or so I've been told...ignoring it for now.
565-canister purge circuit failure....I've had this for a while...no driveability issues, but if someone would like to elaborate, by all means.
557-low speed fuel pump circuit failure.......WTF is this??
Those were the immediate codes. Stored codes are as follows...
117- ECT sensor circuit grounded....can't be good, can it?
126- BP or MAP sensor voltage too high or low...also, prolly not good
157- MAF below max voltage...I get this one quite often, as well...never really worried about it.
524- low speed fuel pump circuit open-battery to PCM...again, WTF is this??
542- fuel pump secondary circuit failure....whoops.....my bad....
Now...I called Auto Zone with these codes and they told me the low speed fuel pump codes are probably caused by a loose connector at the fuel pump on top of the tank or a short in the wiring somewhere. I've not had a chance to drop the tank and go digging around, but has anyone else come across this code? It's really causing driveability issues (assuming that's what it is, as this is the only code on there that's new to me), and I'm actually quite worried...as well as ******. I've come REALLY close in the past couple of days to seeing just how far up a tree I could get my car before gravity kicked into effect. I think she might just be jealous because I was looking at other SHOs this weekend, and was letting other people crawl all over her...she ain't used to this kind of attention. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
