Okay guys and gals ...

I just got an aftermarket AIWA stereo for my 94 Blue MTX. Got tired of the stock CD player acting up and skipping all over the place.

The question is, what do I do with that space where the CD player is currently? Can I put gauges in there? If so, where do I get them? I have found the gauges that go where the cig lighter and all that are, but nothing for the opening where the CD player is. I would rather not put that cupholder/change holder thing in there.

What are the suggestions out there/

There's a page about aftermarket gauges on www.shotimes.com that has the right ford part number for the radio delete panel. You just mount your gauges (I think 3 2" gauges will fit) in that panel and off you go.

Another option is to make your own panel out of acrylic but that would require drilling some holes and not a good idea since the radio delete panel can't be more than $20....

I have a cupholder/coin tray out of a Sable in my 95... they can be found at Ford Parts Network and Ebay.. $25-30... You will have to trim the back a bit to make it fit, nothing major. There are 4 triangular projections out the back which are part of the trays, just cut them flush.

I put the cup/change holder there. There is also a storage slot w/door that came from the factory.
