Reading them is simple. You count the flashes and write them down. You have a 93, so your computer will be giving you 3 digit codes.
Ok, you jumper the EEC, get in the car with pen and paper ready, and you turn the key on (but don't start the car). This will start the KOEO test.
You'll hear different sensors clicking, the electric fan will kick on, etc. Watch the CE light... it will likely flicker a little bit but don't count this as a flash. Just keep watching, because once you see this flicker you're just a second or two away from the first batch of trouble codes.
From here on out, just count the flashes you see. The flashes will occur in groups of 3, with a short pause between groups. For example, the code 214 would go like this:
[blink] [blink] (2)
short pause of about 3/4 a second.
[blink] (1)
short pause....
[blink] [blink] [blink] [blink] (4)
The computer will list all trouble codes it finds in numerical order. It will go through all the codes once, and then it will repeat them. So if you have 3 codes, we'll say (172, 211 and 542) it will blink out 172, then 211, then 542. After 542, it will go back and blink the sequence again.
That's the KOEO test & codes... once it is done you will have a long pause of a second or two with no flashes, then you'll get a single flash followed by another long pause of 1-2 seconds. That single flash is called a separator flash, and it's there to separate the KOEO codes from the codes stored in memory. You may have quite a few of these codes; anytime your car does something to set a CE light it will store a code in memory. The process for writing down these codes is the same as the KOEO codes. The codes are in groups of three... count the flashes and write down the number. The codes will repeat just like the KOEO codes.
It's not hard... all you need to do is be able to count & write

Go back the link I gave you above and look at the sample CE light. That's exactly how it will look on your car, and that's the speed at which the codes come at you. Just have a pen & paper handy so you can write down the flashes.
