I'm a big fan of the subtle look... However, that's a lot of time and money to put into a basically brand new car. Hope it turns out the way you want it to!

........and just in case Mark is a lil too shy to post his picture, I will do so on his behalf:

It looks like Mark is afraid to *** in the ocean, his grimace and underwater ***** pose clearly tells the viewer that he needs to surface immediately to use the facilities..... :laugh_ti:

Bahahaha!! Although, this is another one of those "shit you can't unsee" moments.

Nice picture, only problem I'd make 4 of her....remember I'm the one who has the wetsuit that says" Don't Shoot! I Am A Man"...you know after the problem with the Japenese whaling boat in Costa Rica....:frown:

You know there's an old diver saying about that: "There are two kinds of people, those who *** in their wetsuits and those who lie about it." However, let me say I have NEVER peed in a drysuit...way, way too hard to explain. I will post up pictures of my dry and wetsuits, but I probably won't have them on, it's to hot and humid to get into them especially since I can't get into the water here right now due to flooding and high water.

Not much has happened in the last week, but here are some more progress pics anyway.

sho_4.jpg

The tail lights were removed and painted to darken them. Does anyone care to guess what happened when the painter peeled the masking tape off the chrome sections? You, there, in the back...why yes, that's right: most of the chrome came off with the tape. Now deciding whether to paint the formerly chrome areas in black or body color.

Here's the car partially masked for painting. When the masking is complete, it'll be time for the actual layout of the flames and stencils.

It's all in the details: thin foam welting conforms to irregular crevices and prevents paint from getting in.

Hopefully this time next week I'll be able to post something more interesting.

The body color around tail light where chrome was would be interesting to see how it would look. Better stock up L6 kona blue while is available, thats one of colors that won't be available any longer due to the quake in japan. So mineral that is only mine there goes in to the color and is no longer being mined as of now.

OK, finally, some progress...

Here's Barry of Reno Auto Body applying the stencils to the rear:

Sadly, the stencil cutter misspelled "EcoBoost". Oh, well...too late now!

We can see the flames taking shape down the side of the car...

...and on the hood:

The new hood lettering is ready, but it will be the last part of the job.

OK, we finally have some paint down! Here's the trunk:

I think the painted badges came out very well. Admittedly the fonts aren't a perfect match, but still:

On the flames front:

The flames don't appear ghostly because the car's in a very brightly lit paint booth. Hood lettering will be laid down today or tomorrow, then it's a week or two of cutting and polishing.
