:thumb: Well.. started off at 10:30, my buddies showed up, unloaded some stuff, his nifty pressure washer, and 1/2 split for chicken and potato salad. I went with my buddy to his work to pick up some extra tools, a new tank of propane, a few peices of hardware, a new clutch, which autozone had a line about 20 minuites long, felt like I was waiting for a ride at Cedar Point.

Anyway, we get back with everything and procede to clean out my garage, while the degreaser chills on my subframe, and p/s rack, and all those little nooks and crannies, we clean the floor, the wheels of our trucks, anything we can get our hands on. Cleaning with that bit he had and hot water works magic. Anyway, Get the undercarrage good, clean out the doghouse, and then fired up my shop heater to dry it all out. Slap on the new flywheel, fire up the torch to get my dowel pins out. And my buddy burnt his forearm .. :) The vise grips (now very hot) slipped, and just grazed his arm too, but I guess thats all it takes. Anyway, he had his die grinder, and we re surfaced the underside of the PP, and slapped her in with some new bolts he grabbed from the shop!

(Break for Chicken.. been smellin it for hours now.. ) Time 4:00

Its about 5:00 ish, and we decide to clean up some tools as he has to leave in a 1/2 hour. Then we decide to try and pop this thing in. Took one pulling from the rear toward the tranny via the chains, one prying on a peice of pipe weged under the exhaust manifold, and one pushing the rear timing pulley up top, kinda towards the firewall, and she slipped right in. (guess i just needed the 3rd person.. :thumb: )

He ended up leaving at about 5:45.. but all in all it was a good day. 12 hours later I'm goin to bed.. I'm whooped.. :) Thanks again all of you.. you know who you are.. :)

 :thumb: should be blowing smoke in a day or two.. :naughty: :salute:  :hail: :thumb:

I really like the way you painted the intake. That oil filler cap looks good, Is it in the Ford Motorsport catalog?

Well, I think I slept maybe 5 hours, and like a kid at christmas I was off, hit the ATM, then advance, then Napa, which is closed, and I realized the only one in town that is open on sunday is north. So I still have to get my hoses yet, but I got all my fasteners filters, and all those goodies.. :) Just hoping maybe they have the right thermostat. Maybe Ford is open today.. hmmm... I'm tired of waiting, the battery is charged!!! ahhh.. lol

The oil cap I found on EBAY. If you search for mustangs like.. I want to say the earlier ones all had the same thread pitch and what not. I'll get a pic of its minor flaw... needs either to be shortend, or a fat bushing behind it. If you take your oil cap off. that ridge that sits at the bottom side of the hole hits the underside of the cap stoping it from that last turn in. But it snugs up and I dont see it being a problem. Time will tell. My camera takes pretty nice videos too, so I'll have one of it running when I get her runnin. :) Gotta fix that one connector to the ECT yet.. thinkin I can use a nut and put a spade terminal on it or something.. we'll see..

And yea, I'll finally have something to drive, and I'll see you guys @ the meets now. Didnt wanna show up before in an F-150.. something just wrong about that. :)

Nice job Eric, where did you get those rubber hose couplers for the intake?

I like your color scheme, nearly stock, but makes you look twice...

Actually the couplers are silicone from SHOnut. Well I ran out of hose, need a little bit of some 3/4" and I'll be done. And clamps for the upper and lower hoses. And one thermostat if I can find someone in town that has the right one. Oh here was my lunch.. what was left over from the chicken. :)

A Thermostat, some fluid, and battery cables, and I think I just may start this thing tommorow. :)

I'm sorry, did I read this right??? You "resurfaced" a pressure plate with a DIE GRINDER??? :oogle: What were you thinking??? :shakehead Plus, why would you do that to a pp from a new clutch kit???

Do you wash your car with a hammer too??? :bonk:

LoL.. no no no.. He used a roloc kinda disc he put on the die grinder. Can't tell you which one he used. The back side of the PP had a few miles on it, and I went ahead and put in the new flywheel. So with a new flywheel, and clutch disc, why use a 5000 mile pp, without resurfacing it? The clutch kit wasnt new like I said, if you seen my other post, that disc kinda got tossed out the window.

Only if I can wash yours with a hammer first. :)

LoL.. Well last I knew they just shut another one of those places down. I was actually here the day my friend was calling around to get prices for his girl to get some tanning sessions. The place that was called ''L.A. Tan'' said it was $30 or $60. I said for what? Then she said something about a massage and a shower. I told her I couldnt hear her and to hold on, so my buddy could hear it. And she said it again. I asked how many tanning beds L.A. Tan had, and she said none. Just a matter of time, and it was on the news.. big suprise.. lol

No more happy endings from that place.. :)
