Ok this bugs me so bad and maybe it’s just how I twist my foot while getting out but I know some of you guys have to have this issue. The dam drivers floor mat balling up. It does it in all my Sho’s but not in my MKS’s which seem to have the same carpet/clips/mats minus saying SHO on them obviously. Sorry for dirty floor in the pic but it’s slushy snow here atm. Anyone else and did you do anything to fix this issue?

I've had three SHO's, 2013, 2016, and now a 2018, and never had that happen with the stock mats.

However, I never left them in long, because my dealer always orders the accessory floor mats with the car and I usually put them in within a few months of getting it.

In the 2016, though, I think I had the stock mats in there for at least a year before I switched them out. And that never happened in that car.

I have that issue with the passenger and back seats but that's from the other riders twisting their feet when they get in and out. I've never had that issue on the driver's side.

They made the back of them almost Velcro’ish to stick to the carpet after the whole floor mat sliding under the brake recall situation. I have the same set and have no problem. Maybe press (iron) down the ripple. That did happen to a older cars floor mat I had... ripple memory. Hahaha

I've never had any problems with the stock mats curling up like that.

I had an issue like that in either my GenIII SHO or GTP.
Once it started binding up it always folded that way --just like Zpak mentioned --and it used to bind forward under the pedals. Got a little scary a few times. Never could get it to stay flat and had to replace it.

My stock floor mats are mint bc I never use them. I have the husky liners and the first summer after buying them I put the carpet SHO mats back in....it was making them dirty so I took them out. Not only does the husky liners or weather tech clean up super easy...I enjoy how they don't let hardly anything get on your carpet, so now they're in year round.

Husky Liners makes some for it too. Much better than the stock liners. They work as a great tray to catch all the crap off your feet.
I've had WeatherTech mats on other cars and liked them but the Husky's seem to fit the SHO better, and they are cheaper.

I have a set or 2 of the liner ones. Have to see what kind they are and maybe try them. Just was wondering if it’s just how I twist my foot getting out or if it happens to others also cause i’ve never had a floor mat fold like this out of hundreds of cars over the years. strange that the MKS’s don’t do the same to me when it’s the same floor shape and mat shape.

Can't say I've had that problem... then again, my carpeted floor mats are still in the factory plastic bags. Been using the rubber mats that came with the car since day 1 and saved the carpeted "SHO" mats for... uh, whatever? The stock rubber mats do a good job of catching debris and never crinkle, so I've just kept them in and cleaned them when necessary.

I usually switch back to the carpeted ones during the summer, and I've never had a problem with them twisting or folding. Granted I've only had the SHO for one year, but I did have a 13 Limited for 4 or 5 years before it.

I literally ripped my floor mats out the first day I own the car. It got stuck under the accelerator. And was tapping the rev limiter for almost 15 seconds till I can pull over safely. I can literally hear Scotty in the trunk yelling slow down Captain. She's going to blow.

I have WeatherTech in my Raptor. I bought Husky for my SHO. The Weather Tech are thicker and probably more durable, but the Husky are cheaper and I like that it seems they are taller on the sides and less chance of something getting on the carpet.

I think I read DeVrie Signs makes stickers you can put on the labels of both brands of mats; https://www.etsy.com/shop/DeVriesSigns?section_id=19483124
