Do you think they will fix it or will the insurance company total it because engine and trans started making noise and the car is having a hard time starting

Dang! Its prolly having a hard time starting b/c your battery is all jacked up.

Sorry to hear man. Only way to find out is to get an estimate for the repairs and see what the insurance company will give before totaling it out.

If you saved your recipt for the tranny rebuild it may help you get more if they total it out. When my wires old POS pontiac sunbird got hit, we got an estimate for like a grand, book was only like 1200. However we had just put an newer engine in the car. The body shop lady said that we might be able to get more if we could prove that we had put money into it recently.

We never went that far, the lady gave us a grand cash.

Good luck. At worst you can buy it back and have a great parts car and a great tranny waiting to go if you go a different sho.

When you get it repaired, make sure you go over it w/ a fine-toothed comb. Don't let them try to pass off any SLO body parts on you. Good luck!

First of all...was anyone hurt? Hope everyone is fine. Second of all...PLEASE tell me the punk in the Honda destroyed his car worse than yours. Did he/she even have insurance? Good luck on the repairs. Keep your hood up and start again.

yea everyone is ok it was a honda accord 2004 they do have insurance but the honda was only missing a bumper the headlights were okay fenders etc all i saw when i came next to it was a missing bumper and thats it but atleast he appologized and said it was 100% his fault but what really ****** me off was that he said he thought it was a taurus to the cop then the cop said its a SHO which made me smile. thank you i hope they dont total it but the engine and trans are now runing like CRap i hope they fix those first!

Looks to be fixable. Appears to be more replacing parts than messing around with metal work.

they just totaled the car they said it would cost 6500 to fix they offered me 4300 for the car how much should i ask from them!

I would look up book values on the car, both KBB and NADA, Ive found NADA is usually higher. Dont, short yourself either, make sure you enter all options and the right condition. I would make sure you get the retail value, whet is should cost you to buy a new one at a dealer.

Dont let the inusrance copany roger you, thats how they make their money. You can always fight them.

yea i know i decided to want 7000 i bought the car for 5000 got a rebuilted tranny flowmasters tints remote start and had 2000 in mantinace! i think its fair!

If you have receipts for the parts/maintenance you just mentioned, add that to the value of the car showing that you paid good $$ for it to be in great condition.

what about getting an insurance replacement in a sumilar condition? them you would have almost every part you would need.

or you could sell me everything in the engine bay for an sho conversion
