HUGE engine miss

I JUST bought a 92 stock SHO with 153k on it. It does not seem to burn oil, or have been abused. However, I have a huge miss in the engine, like a chug, and sometimes the car won't start. When the car didn't start last time, I pulled the plugs and they were soaked. I have tried new plugs, a new coil pack, tps, and intake air sensor. I got a code to replace the intake air sensor, but it didn't help. My next route will be to replace plug wires and fuel filter, then injectors. The crank position sensor had been done before I got the car. Lastly, one other weird thing that happens, is sometimes the tach doesn't work while the car is running badly. I'm not sure what drives the tach, but it might also be my problem area.
Any help will be appreciated.
I could also call someone if you guys want to talk, or might have references to ask.

is the check engine light on?.... if so have you run diagnostics to see what faults are stored?

Yes the engine light has been on, but it doesn't stay on.

This is just a shot in the dark. It could be an O2 sensor, but technically it should store a code if thats the problem.

You HAVE to run the codes before you can do any trouble shooting...
