Unfortunately we have bad experiences when customers try to jump from long standing relationships, as there is that subconscious expectation that things will instantly improve, where we are starting from scratch compared to a multiple revision tune.

Like most tuners, we prefer the customer to grow with us so we aren't playing catch up, but I'm down for whatever I just need full dedication to getting it dialed in, bouncing between tunes makes the learning curve a little steep haha.

Yeah, I need to see more of the possibilities before I were to pull the trigger. If you can confirm at some point that the AWD is fully tune-able and that there are quite a few additional things that can be done with the trans (and what specifically vs SCT) I think I can make the commitment...my goals are pretty lofty so I can use any edge i can get...

Not to pull Sm105K into it, but I think he is knocking on 11’s at around 4400lbs. And he has considerably less done than you do at this point. Not to mention what you have in store after the motor transplant and a PTU that can handle a beating.

yeah, tbh, I have a feeling I might actually be able to pull off an 11 right now (very high 11, lol) if I can get the tune dialed in and traction under control (tires, air pressures and prepped surface), but I don't want to bench-race, lol....I gotta hit the track first, then talk the game haha...

I appreciate you counting your chickens AFTER they hatch. I am a big fan of what you are doing for the culture and the platform. That being said, if AJP isn’t able to keep up with the new, new, that HP tuners and associated tuning companies can offer... it might be worthwhile.

That being said, tried and true and trusted go a long freaking way when it comes to thousands of dollars in engine build and extras.

If we can biased torque, I wonder if I can force 100% to the front for the EV conversion... In hopes to reduce the chance of a code.

Re-scan your PCM and send it to Brad and we'll see what he can come up with. There are some pretty cool new features. Do you have an MVPI2 as well or just the nGauge?

Interesting!
I have 5 star as my first tune and it would le you increase line pressure in 5% increments for harder shifts. I liked 10%. The Gearhead AO tune dos not have that option.

is that on the SCT handheld? You should be able to ask them to unlock the user options.

So I haven't had a chance to actually dig into this yet to try anything but this is all that was added for AWD for the PTU. Putting the kids down then I'll look at the RDU and look at some definitions.

I've had all of those on my strategy for a loooong time. Haven't bothered to touch them because there's no point. At the risk of becoming a broken record I'll say it again: The limiting factor of the AWD system is the open differential in the transmission. Command 200,000,000 lb-ft to the rear axle if you want- you'll still just spin the left front tire.

Man, I'm so glad you weren't on the team of engineers that were tasked with finding ways to keep the Apollo 13 astronauts alive long enough to bring them home...those guys would've had NO chance...talk about some serious negative vibes...

Lol okay bro. You're mocking me for bringing the actual problem to the table for discussion, but somehow I'm bringing the negative vibes?

The Apollo engineers didn't waste eons chasing their tails on solutions that they already knew wouldn't work. This forum has a decade of discussions complaining about some mythical software limitation on the RDU, or hardware torque limits that suggest I could snap an axle just by attaching an 18" pipe wrench to the hub and standing on it.

Yet, this now probably the fourth thread in which I've brought up the need for a LSD, yet the only response I've gotten so far is chirpy indignation because I'm not coddling your imagination or something.

IDK, maybe this is only like the 2nd actual time I've brought it up. I often decline to share information here exactly because of this kind of bs. Sometimes I type things out, then just say f*$k these guys and delete.

Yes. Tune the AWD. Devote weeks, no months to it! Pull after pull after pull after pull. Can't wait to see the findings!
