How would you fix this exhaust break?

This is the stock exhaust on my 95 MTX. As you can see the pipe broke at the weld to the ******. Is this as simple as having a shop weld it back on or will it just crack and break again there soon? Someone here at work mentioned a ****** repair kit, but I have no clue where to find one. Any ideas short of a new cat back system?

I would have it welded if it were mine. Then if it breaks again have a new pipe installed.

Common problem. When mine went I took it to Midas. They stocked a replacement ****** with about an 8'' piece of pipe on it. They cut the pipe and welded in the new section. I think it cost me $80 out the door.

Put in a flat gasket ****** and a flex pipe. That's what I do on all of mine. Eliminating the 'donut' , etc....

Just my .02

My '93 did the same thing. NAPA had a 2-2 piece ****** setup that you could put on the pipe. It worked good if tightened down all the way. Cost about $50 IIRC.

Just got a call from the shop and that's the route they went. Cost me 36 bucks total! Thanks for the advice.
