Wiring the 3.2 SHO motor in The Other Woman
If you’re using the stock wiring harness, most of this information is not necessary. I removed the DIS from the crossover tube and moved it to the wiring box behind the passenger seat; along with the PCM, the new fuse panel and all the relays. Moving the DIS alone necessitated the running of many wires so that it could talk with the Crank Sensor, the Cam Sensor and the Coil Pack
Pin 1 of PCM needs to be hot at all times, preferably fed by the ignition switch or a relay switched on by the ignition switch.
The following needs to be hot in Run and Start:
Pins 37 and 57 of the PCM
The purple wire of both O2 Sensors.
All six fuel injectors on their red wires.
Idle Air Controller on its red wire.
MAF Sensor on its red wire
Intake Manifold Runner Control on its red wire
There are other devices that the red wire feeds power to but are not used on buggies: The CCRM (I used individual relays), The Charcoal Canister Purge Solenoid, The EGR Vacuum Regulator Solenoid
The following pins of the PCM send a ground signal to trip the injectors: Inj 1 pin 58, Inj 2 Pin 59, Inj 3 Pin 39, Inj 4 Pin 35, Inj 5 Pin 15, Inj 6 Pin 12
The Red/Green stripe wire needs to be hot in Run and Start and feeds the following devices in both the 3.0 and 3.2:
Crank Pos Sensor ( Connector 1058)
Cam Pos Sensor ( Connector 178)
Pin 1 of DIS ( Connector 156 )
Ign Coil Pack ( Connector 1018)
Radio Noise Suppressor capacitor ( Connector 1031 )
Pin 46 of PCM feeds Ref Voltage on the Gray/Red stripe wire to the following:
SPOUT #2 and back (to the PCM) on pin 29.
To the IAT Sensor and back on green/yellow wire to pin 25.
To the TPS and back on grey/white to pin 47.
To both O2 Sensors ( via connectors C1009 and C1008) and back on rd/bk and grey/light blue to pins 43 and 44.
To the Knock Sensor and back on yellow/red to pin 23.
To the ECT Sensor and back on light green/red to pin 7.
To Turbine Shaft Speed Sensor and back on grey / black to pin 5.
To the MLPS (on ATX PCM cars) and back on Light Blue/Yellow to pin 30.
The ATX PCM expects to see 3770-4607 Ohms on pin 30 if it is in “Park”
The ATX PCM expects to see 660-807 Ohms on pin 30 if it is in “Neutral”
The ATX PCM expects to see 190-232 Ohms on pin 30 if it is in “Drive”
Hope this helps the people building FrankenSHO's with the 3.2 SHO motor.
