I recently had the... displeasure of going through this. I figured I would make a short post to describe what needs to be swapped from the 2010 to the 2013 to make it work. Long story short: my 2010 SHO's head gasket failed, causing hydrolock and bent a rod. Thus, I bought a used motor out of a 2013 Taurus Police Interceptor (Turbo + Oil Cooler) and swapped it in.

The following needs to be swapped from the old motor to the new motor.

Cam Sensor
Crank Sensor
Injectors
Reluctor Ring on Flywheel

To make the Oil Cooler work, you need some new hoses. Pictures in here: http://www.ecoboostperformanceforum.com/index.php/topic,523.0.html

Part numbers for hoses:
DG1Z6A715A - Oil Cooler Hoses
MOTORCRAFT KM5018 - Upper Hose
MOTORCRAFT KM5249 - Lower Hose

I think that's it. Good luck, hopefully this helps someone. I know motors are scarce out there, so sometimes you gotta make do with what you can find.

Is the oil cooler in the Police Interceptors different from the standard SHO's? Is there a difference between the 10-12 and 13+ oil coolers?
