How to remove Harmonic Balancer?

I tried a 3 claw puller and the balancer is coming apart. I tried putting some heat on the pulley and the inner section will not budge.

The balancer and bolt holes are very rusty...I am thinking I need to clean up the threads and try a steering wheel puller? Anyone know the bolt size/thread?

A harmonic balancer puller is usually the preferred tool. Also called a bolt grip or yoke puller. You can chase the threads with a M8x1.25 tap first if needed.

Cleaned up the threads and the harmonic balancer puller worked like a charm!

Now onto replacing the front and rear main seals.
