Usually this is a straight forward operation, but looks a bit convoluted. Just got this steel of a gem and need to do some PM on my time, not its;).

Do I have to monkey with the adjustments, or can I just remove the idlers, replace the belt then reinstall th idlers? Thanks, this site seems great.:thumb:

Your going to have to loosen the adjusters, on a MTX. To do this you need to loosen the 14mm Nut in the center of the pulley then use a 5mm allen wrench to loosen the adjuster. Do the opposite to install. If you have a Auto trans ATX, there is one tensioner thats on a spring all it requires is you to turn the nut in the center this will give you slack and you can remove and install the belt this way.

what year do you have.... 94(?)-95MTX have a different catalog number than all the other years, they need longer belts... even ford catalogs list it as the wrong part
