Are their special brake tools needed to properly bleed ABS brakes?
I'm changing my rear brake calipers and need some input on how to properly bleed the brake system.
Thanks!

nothing special to use or do. just make sure someone is stepping on that pedal damn hard and turn the bleeder valve on the caliper with a wrench and let it sit open until liquid comes out (which shouldnt take more than a second or two). let us know how it goes.

To bleed your brakes is very straightforward, if you search this forum for 'bleeding order' you should find the proper order to do them in (RR, LF, LR, RF IIRC).

The ABS pump cannot be bled without the use of a special computerized thingy that usually only Ford dealers or some brake places have, but it usually isn't necessary unless you replace the master cylinder.

I bled the calipers without encountering any problems. I followed the instructions in the previous posts and proceeded without worrying about anything going awry.
The brakes pedal felt firm during the test drive and brakes performed normally.
However I did have one unfortunate problem removing the e-brake cable from the brake caliper. The cable was corroded so bad, it was if the cable had welded itself to the caliper housing.
I was pressed for time so I just cut the cable off and decided to replace it later. I know I have to replace it soon. I don't like the idea of having no emergency brakes.
Anyone know how the e-brake cable comes from the parts store? I've never replaced it before, I will learn soon!
Thanks everyone for the valuable information... :)
