Not sure if I should post this here or in the nitrous section but here it goes. I am thinkign of nitrous in the future soem time but have herd the blocks were nto made for it and can crack because of the fast temperature change. IS this true? Or is it mayeb partually true, such as the 92 and prior can crack but the 93-95's were stronger.

prolly start with a 50 shot then a 75 Im still debating 100. Might just go with 50 and keep it there to be safe.:thumb:

Quite a few are running 75 shot with no problems on the MTX's. Change the spark plugs...and maybe the fuel filter and your pretty much good to go.

Although, anything can happen when adding ~75 hp to a car.

yeah, so im probably a lot safer with a 50 shot, and im thinking at that point its almsot not even worth all the money to put into the nitrous system itself.

i have NEVER heard of ANY motor cracking from rapid temp change from nitrous.

the blocks can definantly handle a 100 shot easy, some guys have gone 150, a few have gone higher then that

well, if you think about it, they are pretty strong, because although i dont know the real #'s N20 Is VERY cold, and with a combustion chamber being so hot and the pressure so high in these SHO motors, i think it is a valid question, but im sure you could do something worse with a different modification, and i would say the same as to how something else will go first... like a diff pin if theres no quaife

All I can think of is...they can handle 500+ hp from superchargers and turbochargers. I think it can take an extra 100 hp (up to 320 hp) with no sweat. I think they key is just making sure its tuned ok...ppl go 75 with no tune with no problems...over 100...well its up to you.
