How reliable are the Gen3's??

I would be interested to know if anyone in the new england area could weld the cams. I really don't feel like driving to atlanta. I have a warranty for about two more years that will cover the problem if it arises but if I can't find someone in the area to weld them I might just get rid of it.

I have replaced all of my coils to this point and they started dieing at 45k. The ishty ford esp didn't even cover them. It was 400 something to do just one. When one was done, another would go bad etc. etc. I ended up cancelling my ford esp and getting a NAPA. I then took it to a family mechanic and they ended up replacing remaining 5 under warranty. I had to pay for 2 of the 5 coils but it ended up saving me a ton of cash. Each coil alone was 140.00.
Since I have replace them I have had zero engine probs. the only problem that continues is the idle problem. But that goes away everytime I reset the bat.
BTW, does anyone know if Mike Courtney's does cam welding?? This only applies to the MN area folks.

There was a guy from someplace down Maryland way at the convention and they do them too. Was it SPmotorsports? Not sure. But I know they're listed on the shotimes site under the vendors section. I doubt that they've done as many as Doug has. And I believe he said it cost $600 there. I found this out after I had already made plans to go to Georgia (right after the convention, and I mean right after, drove down Thursday night).
